Welcome to CrmR.us – a blog that covers the subject of CRM, helping readers (beginners and industry experts) to understand, implement and discuss CRM strategies and techniques that will improve their companies’ performance.

zsolt_ballaMy name is Zsolt Balla, I’m a professional journalist, a blogger and an entrepreneur. Beside being employed by a major publishing house, to build successful projects online, I can’t help being astonished by the dynamic and rapidly changing world of the blogosphere, social networking sites, and all that the internet has to offer.

Online since 1997

As an early bird of Generation Y (I was born in 1978), I got addicted to being online from the first moment I laid my hands on a computer with internet access. Back then, internet, for me at least, meant a Lynx browser and a telnet application, but there was no turning back.

When, in 1999, the market leading Hungarian online newspaper was born, I was there as a trainee (and later as a journalist). I started my first blog back in 2004, that was followed by various others. I’ve been living a part of my life online for more than 12 years.

What about CRM?

I think I haven’t mentioned it so far, but at the time of writing this, I’m not an expert in the field of CRM. Not yet.

But as a journalist, who often gets involved with business-related topics, I am perfectly aware of the fact, that you don’t have to be a CRM expert to write about CRM in plain English. Furthermore, if you are not an expert of the industry you are covering, the chances for other non-experts to understand what you are writing are higher. Substantially higher.

And this is exactly what this blog aims to do: covering CRM for non-experts, to help them use CRM for their own good.

Of course, if you are an industry expert, you are more than welcome, too! Share your knowledge with me and with other readers, share ideas, build relationships, make friends, and benefit from the respect and appreciation we will all provide you with.

Where do I go from here?

If you are new to CRM, you might consider starting with the basics, and read our post on What CRM is. If you are done with that, continue with the first steps in our Beginners’ guide to CRM category. And make sure you won’t miss any of the great content that is yet to come by subscribing to our RSS Feed!

If you are familiar with the basics, you may want to check out the industry news on our home page. If you are planning on building a career in CRM, or if you are already a CRM expert, you must be interested in our job board.
